Interpretation of the third survey
The so called “system view” displays the percentage of E-Mail capacity relating to the number of E-Mails in total.. In comparison with the first survey there is one negative aspect: At the moment only a small percentage of actually requested emails is being sent and received. This is a rather unexpected result taking into account that the percentage of accepted E-Mails over the three surveys has lowered significantly. By the year 2004 91, 47% of all E-Mails were accepted, by the year 2005 this value was 74, 9% and by the year 2006 63, 3%.

Thanks a lot again to all participants.
We know that answering the questions wasn’t always simple. But the evaluation of the results shows that it was worth the effort. Of course some of the questions have been interpreted different and therefore have been answered different.
But in the end we’re confident that our evaluation produced a representative result. We would be grateful to receive a feedback and to have your support again next time.
The following chart shows the distribution of E-Mail capacity in the internet. The figures show the comparison of the results from the first and the second survey.
